Second Life

Site 3. DiXmiX Gallery.

Today I found myself gazing at other avatars while the gallery opening Mistero Hifeng at DixMix. After the third advertisement hitting me through the various group announcements I found myself standing there. The emotional background was pretty same as depicted at the featuring pic. I started to sense the existence of the snobby ghost, fueling my ego and anticipating a full-scale invasion into my subconscious, which I was chasing to the main hall until it vanished and slowly transformed to a fog.

The attractive message, which baited me, shouted through all group channels:

“His highly distinctive and trademark mesh avatars and compositions, which often appear to be fragmented or broken — sometimes even shattered, with pieces flying away into space — were originally produced as material for his own photography, but here they stand side by side, and have become over time no doubt better known than their two-dimensional counterparts.”

Here’s whom I saw first. I think it was the author of the words, I have just cited, but i may mistaken.

I was totally disoriented, finding self in unexpected, crushing perceiving templates place. Was my avatar shuttering into the pieces like those depicted lovers? I was pretty afraid of such a public deconstruction and decided to hide on the second floor in order to observe the situation from the perspective view. The avatar radar didn’t show a huge list like at some sort of SLO bargains. This made me feeling relaxed. Soon I admitted someone nearby. Just about 3-4 people. Is this gorgeous creature an artist too?

The guy in glasses is aldiladeisogni, he is a photographer, btw. He was followed by a very attractive lady goorgoor, whom I couldn’t stop looking at. They were pretty teamed, both had the same avatar picture. I concluded that it was a couple, visiting an art exhibition. While heightening of the graphic rendering settings I admitted the line in site’s audio stream. It stated: “Now playing: Dima – Barto Studio: Mirazh“. (44.44 at the track) Just tuning you in the atmosphere…

The attention started focusing on the avatar’s appearances rather than works of art. I am not sure if the mysterious guy at the photo was the same as one wearing the glowing mask. I wished I could concentrate on his blonde (agent, wife, acquaintance???), but her ultra-new avatar didn’t want to rezz at my viewer, so I captured him and propose to solve the puzzle if it’s the same mysterious person.

Well, I decided to try a paparazzi role at the event. Didn’t they come at the opening, wearing the latest fashion garments and jewelry in order to be shot, did they? So here is a glamorous Bellavista Eisman, whom, unfortunately is a complete stranger to me. Maybe she’ll comment on a photo and we’ll find out something particular about her activities. I presumed that she could have been one of models, portrayed in the works of exhibited art.

Does the leather dress belong to Andy Burroughs, doesn’t it? I couldn’t capture her face, so blame me, cause you missed not only its beauty, but awesome stylish garments worn on her neck and arms) I found out then, that she is a photographer too, owning  Psycho Candy Gallery.

I am grateful to my friend Nabrej Aabye for a walk over the halls, followed by a professional discussion. I thank him for a company and critical discourse on the works of art exhibited this time at DixMix. Posting his picture near the sculpture, which he considered to be the most capturing one’s imagination.

Gem Preiz (whom I contacted later and found out that he’s an outstanding artist) had been looking vacantly at the wrecking LOVERS, while I had been sincerely adoring the real ones. Now let’s vote who was better, the sculptures or attendees?
